Pragmatic/Social Language Skills

Pragmatic/social language weaknesses are commonly associated with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Including Asperger Syndrome) and/or Down Syndrome. Our Speech Pathologists at our clinics have the tools to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment plan for your child as well as tips for you, as a parent, to improve your child’s social skills. By January 1, 2012, we are hoping to introduce our very own “Chit Chat Pack” that is centered around improving your child’s social skills in a fun, engaging, language-rich environment.

In order to optimize the group’s success, a questionnaire will be filled out by the parent and or child (depending on the child’s age). Groups will be developed according to skill level and common interests.
